RS3 Easter Event Guide in 2025 - Blooming Burrow
Apr-16-2025 PSTThe long-awaited RS3 2025 Easter Event has officially launched, and it's bringing springtime magic back to Gielinor in the form of the Blooming Burrow! Packed with returning favorites and two and a half new activities (we'll explain), as well as a short but sweet quest, this event has something for every player – whether you're a casual AFKer or a completionist on the hunt for rare rewards.
In this guide, we'll break down everything you need to know about the event: how to access it, complete the quest, participate in each activity, and maximize your Spring Tokens and Egg Points to snag all the exclusive 2025 Easter rewards.
So grab your cup of tea, sit back, relax, and let's dive into this year's festive fun.
How to Access the 2025 Easter Event
The Easter event can be accessed by entering the burrow south of the Burthorpe Lodestone. If you've unlocked the Lodestone system, you can easily teleport there with a single click. Look for a burrow entrance—this leads you to the vibrant Blooming Burrow, the event's main hub.
Start With the “Great Expectations” Quest (2025)
Before jumping into activities, complete the short seasonal quest called “Great Expectations.” It's the perfect introduction to the event and grants you a chunk of Spring Tokens, the Bunny outfit, and some festive emotes. This quest also unlocks the Chocolate Factory activity.
Quest Requirements:
• 2 Regular Planks
• 1 pair of Grapes
• Nuts
• Sliced Bananas
• Some Biscuits
All of these can easily be bought from the Grand Exchange.
Quest Walkthrough:
1. Speak to the Easter Bunny in the northern Blooming Burrow to start the quest.
2. He'll send you to find Cocoa Bunny in the southeastern section of the Burrow.
3. After a dialogue-heavy interaction, Cocoa Bunny tasks you with finding three recipe scrolls across Gielinor:
o Garden of Tranquillity (use a Mystical Sand Seed to get there).
o Karamja Docks (teleport to Port Sarim Lodestone and take the ship).
o Dwarven Mine (teleport to Falador, then go down the ladder near the cannons and search east).
4. Each scroll has a red dot on the minimap and triggers a short cutscene.
5. Return to Cocoa Bunny with all three, wrap up the final dialogue, and enjoy your reward!
Blooming Burrow Activities
Once the quest is complete, you'll unlock access to six activities—four returning from 2024, and two-and-a-half (yes, really) that are new for 2025.
1. Chocolate Mines (AFK-friendly)
• Location: Southwest Blooming Burrow
• What to do: Mine chocolate chips, chunks, and nuggets, then deposit them into the nearby shaft.
• Tokens: ~480 Spring Tokens per hour (fully AFK)
• XP: Very low
• Best For: Chill gains while watching Netflix.
2. Chocolate Bunny Hunting
• Location: Around Blooming Burrow
• What to do: Track burrows using “check” options to find chocolate bunnies. Once you collect a full inventory, turn them in to Fizzy Bunny.
• Time: ~9–10 minutes per inventory
• Tokens: ~140 per full turn-in
• Activity Level: Semi-AFK
• Best For: Something a little more engaging than full AFK, but still laid-back.
3. Beehive Keeping (NEW – Farming XP!)
• Location: East Blooming Burrow
• What to do: Manage flower food levels, catch wasps with traps, and use smokers to keep bees happy.
• XP: Decent passive Farming XP (if you react to mechanics)
• Tokens: ~550/hour if AFK, possibly more if you're active
• Tips: Honestly, the best method is to grab a bunch of everything and just AFK—over-managing it yields little benefit.
• Extra: Drops Honeycomb Shards, which can be used at player-owned farms.
4. Carob Boating (NEW – Agility XP)
• What to do: Use the boat obstacle course for Agility XP and Spring Tokens.
• XP: Low Agility XP
• Tokens: 3 per completed obstacle (can exceed 1,000 tokens/hour with spam)
• Best For: Active gameplay fans
Hourly Boat Race (Highly Recommended!)
• Time: Every hour at :05 (e.g., 1:05, 2:05)
• Rewards: 300 Spring Tokens + race cosmetic skins + Tied Tool (if fast)
• Best For: High token/hour value, fun minigame.
5. Foilage Smithing (Returning)
• Location: Forge in Blooming Burrow
• What to do: Grab materials, smith them into foliage, and deposit.
• Time per cycle: 2.5 minutes
• Tokens: ~670/hour
• Best For: A decent balance of effort vs. reward
6. Chocolate Crafting Factory (AFK King – Quest Required)
• Unlocked by: Completing “Great Expectations”
• What to do: Pick a station and follow instructions from Stewie, Chewy, or Gooey Bunny—or don't. Just AFK.
• Tokens: ~850/hour (AFK mode)
• XP: Minimal
• Pro Tip: You'll gain slightly more tokens and XP for following instructions, but the effort isn't worth it. AFK for easy gains.
Spring Tokens & Rewards
Tokens are earned from every event activity and are spent at the Gummy Bunny Shop near the Blooming Burrow Lodestone. You'll find both new and retro Easter rewards, including:
• New Cosmetics & Outfits
• Egg-themed Emotes
• Weapon & Tool Skins
• RuneScape 3 Bunny Ears
• Event Cosmetics from Previous Years
Egg Points & Weekly Egg Hunts (More Rewards!)
While Spring Tokens are the main currency, Egg Points are another layer of this year's event.
How to Unlock Egg Hunts:
1. Speak to Nouga Bunny (location: Blooming Burrow).
2. Find 12 Golden Eggs hidden throughout the Burrow. These are hard to spot, often beneath objects.
Pro Tip for Finding Eggs:
• Turn on High Contrast Mode:
o Go to Settings > Additional Options > Accessibility
o Enable Entity Highlight Mode: Always On
o Set highlight type to Silhouette
o Choose a bright Interactable Highlight Color (neon green works great)
This will make those hidden eggs pop out, making the hunt significantly easier.
Gielinor-Wide Egg Hunts
Once you complete the Golden Egg Hunt, you unlock Gielinor egg hunts in both free-to-play and members' areas.
• Clues will help you find eggs hidden in random world spots.
• Eggs can also be found by:
o Performing emotes
o Interacting with objects
o Using clues or speed-running via the wiki page
Rewards Per Egg:
• 2 Egg Points
• 10 Treasure Trail Points (NEW for 2025 – redeemable at the GE reward store)
Big Community Egg Hunt (Sundays at 8 PM Game Time)
Every Sunday at 8:00 PM GMT, a community-wide egg hunt takes place on a designated world. It's a collaborative challenge where all participants work together to solve clues.
• Completion = 28 Egg Points
• Unlocks the hunt for everyone after (even solo players can do it on Monday)
• Worth It? Absolutely. It's a fun, meme-filled, chaotic event with dozens of players sprinting around together in bunny outfits.
Final Thoughts – What to Prioritize?
AFKers:
• Stick with Chocolate Factory, Beehive Keeping, and Chocolate Mines
• Save boat racing for the hourly reward spike
Active Players:
• Farm Carob Boats (obstacle spam or races)
• Bunny Hunting & Foilage Smithing for mid-tier engagement
Completionists:
• Unlock Egg Hunts ASAP
• Get every cosmetic, do the community hunt live at least once, and chase those Treasure Trail points!
Whether you're chasing cosmetics, XP, RS gold or just vibing with other bunny-suited adventurers, the 2025 RuneScape 3 Easter Event is a lighthearted break from Gielinor's usual grind.
Happy hunting, and may your burrows bloom with rewards!
