Before You Start
Skill Requirements
• 43 Quest Points (mandatory to start the quest)
• 49 Firemaking (can be boosted)

• Sapphire lantern (crafted by using a cut sapphire on a bullseye lantern)
• Swamp tar (to fuel the lantern)
• Chisel
• Tinderbox
• Pickaxe
• Rope (only if you haven’t entered Lumbridge Swamp Caves before)
Recommended Items
• Spiny helmet or Slayer helmet (to protect against wall beasts if you haven’t completed The Lost Tribe)

Short Guide
Getting Started
• For Lost Tribe Quest Completers:
• Enter the cave through the Lumbridge Castle basement (no helmet needed).
• Squeeze through the hole, run south past Kazgar, and clear the blocked passage with your pickaxe.
• Cross the stepping stones and head into the southern tunnel to find Juna.
• For Non-Completers:
• Enter via the Lumbridge Swamp (bring a rope for your first visit).
• Avoid wall beasts and swamp gas while navigating to the southern tunnel where Juna resides.
The Bowl of Stone
1. Create the sapphire lantern:
• Use a cut sapphire on a bullseye lantern and light it with a tinderbox.
2. Travel to the light creatures:
• Head northwest and climb the rocks.
• Use the lantern on a floating light creature to be transported to the magical stone platform.
3. Craft the bowl:
• Mine the magical stone.
• Use a chisel to craft it into a bowl.
• Return to Juna with the completed bowl.
Long Guide
Getting Started
The quest begins in Lumbridge Swamp Caves. Your entry method depends on your progress in The Lost Tribe quest.
Option A: The Swamp Route (No Lost Tribe progress)
1. Create your sapphire lantern:
• Combine a bullseye lantern with a cut sapphire and fuel it with swamp tar.
2. Enter Lumbridge Swamp:
• Bring a rope for your first entry.
• Stick to the southern wall to avoid swamp gas and pass through the cave.
3. Navigate to Juna:
oUse the minimap to locate her. Beware of wall beasts—stop one square before any suspicious wall holes and run past them safely.
Option B: The Castle Route (Completed Lost Tribe)
1. Enter Lumbridge Castle basement.
2. Squeeze through the hole in the wall.
3. Clear the blocked passage with a pickaxe.
4. Navigate south past the frogs, cross the stepping stones, and follow the tunnel east to Juna.
Meeting Juna
• Unequip all weapons before talking to her.
• Juna will listen to your story and grant you access to the magical stones.
The Light Creatures
1. Light your sapphire lantern.
2. Climb the rocks northwest of Juna.
3. Use the lantern on a light creature to reach the platform with the magical stone.
Crafting the Sacred Bowl
1. Mine a piece of the magical stone from the platform.
2. Use your chisel to shape it into a bowl.
3. Return to Juna with the crafted bowl to complete the quest.
Note: If you skipped telling Juna a story, she won’t guide you on crafting the bowl. Always tell her a tale before proceeding.

Congratulations! Completing Tears of Guthix grants:

• 1,000 Crafting Experience
• Access to the Tears of Guthix Minigame
• Your sapphire returned from the lantern
