OSRS Deadman Mode Annihilation Points: Route & Progression Guide

Feb-14-2026 PST

Deadman Mode is back—and this iteration is fundamentally different. The latest season dramatically shifts progression by rewarding players with points for nearly every meaningful action: boss kills, achievement completions, level gains, breach participation, and more. Those points can then be invested into powerful Sigils, most of which are now permanent unlocks.

Unlike previous Deadman seasons, where losing a fight could cripple your build, this version heavily protects PvM and skilling progression. Only PvP-oriented sigils are at risk. That means even non-PvP players can safely grind points, generate wealth, and later transfer value into the main game—or spend points on post-season rewards.

Because this format closely resembles Leagues-style progression, efficiency matters more than ever—especially during your one-hour login immunity. If used properly, that hour can generate nearly 3,000 points and permanently accelerate your account.

Below is the optimal early-game routing strategy.

Deadman Mode – Ultimate Early Game Route (Nearly 3,000 Points in 1 Hour)

This route is structured to:

· Maximize early point acquisition

· Unlock essential sigils immediately

· Stack quest XP for combat scaling

· Prepare you for mid-game PvM or skilling strategies

Step 1: Varrock Setup & Free XP Boost

Start by speaking to Skippy and selecting Varrock as your starting location.

Immediate Setup:

Bank everything at Varrock East Bank except:

· Chronicle

· Starter staff

· 5 Tuners

Natural History Quiz (Varrock Museum)

Complete the museum quiz for:

· 10,000 Hunter XP

· 10,000 Slayer XP

· ~260 points

Then speak to Historian Minas upstairs for two 10k XP lamps (use on skills over level 20 or save for scaling).

Early Sigil Unlock

Unlock:

· Sigil of Deception (150 points) – eliminates pickpocket failure.

Now, pickpocket a man for ~2 minutes to reach 25 Thieving (120 points).

Quick Diary Tasks

· Buy a newspaper from Benny (15 points)

· Open the clothes shop interface south of Bernie (15 points)

Then unlock:

· Sigil of Litheness (250 points) – passive Agility XP + all shortcut access regardless of level.

This sigil alone dramatically changes your routing potential.

Step 2: Gnome Stronghold Achievement Tasks

Use the Spirit Tree at the Grand Exchange to travel to the Gnome Stronghold (50 points).

Complete the following:

· 1 lap of Gnome Agility Course (15 points)

· Talk to Brimstail → Essence Mine (15 points)

· Safe spot a Terrorbird (25 points)

· Score a Gnome Ball goal (15 points)

· Pick up a Swamp Toad (15 points)

Return via Spirit Tree. This is an extremely efficient, low-risk task stacking.

Step 3: Enter the Abyss & Lumbridge Tasks

Begin Enter the Abyss north of the Wilderness ditch.

Chronicle teleport back to Varrock:

· Speak to Mage of Zamorak

· Receive Scrying Orb

· Teleport to Essence Mine (15 points)

Teleport to Lumbridge:

· Pickpocket a Man (15 points)

· Ask Hans your age (15 points)

Head to Al Kharid:

· Pickpocket warriors to ~40 Thieving (75 points)

· If 20 Agility, complete a lap of Al Kharid Course (25 points)

Step 4: Wizard’s Tower & Draynor Stack

Purchase:

· Iron Axe

· Jug

At Wizard’s Tower:

· Ask Sedridor for Essence Mine teleport (15 points)

In Draynor:

· Agility Course lap (15 points)

· Pickpocket Master Farmer (25 points)

· Open Sarah’s Farm Shop (15 points)

· Fill the jug with water

Step 5: Port Sarim & Cooking Power Level

Chop 3 logs en route to Port Sarim.

Speak to Veos → travel to Land’s End (15 points)

Buy from the charter:

· 50 Sand

· 50 Soda Ash

· Glassblowing pipe

· 1 Swamp paste

Deposit items. Travel to Entrana and back (15 points). Buy raw sardines → cook/drop until ~30 Cooking (145 points).

In Port Sarim Jail:

· Talk upstairs guard for book (15 points)

Step 6: Ardougne Thieving & Crafting Burst

Travel to Ardougne. Complete:

· Baker’s Stall (15 points)

· Silk Stall (15 points)

Pickpocket guards (30 points)

Talk to Wizard Cromperty (15 points)

Pickpocket Master Farmer (25 points)

Bank → Withdraw sand & soda ash

Smelt molten glass

Blow glass to ~35 Crafting (170 points)

Step 7: Wilderness & Massive Quest XP

(180 points total)

Complete:

· Sea Slug (225 points)

· Catch 1 fish after (25 points)

Final Step: Finish Enter the Abyss

Chronicle teleport to Varrock. Complete quest with Mage of Zamorak (130 points).

Total:

· ~2580 base points

· ~2980 including relic purchases

All within the first hour.

This gives you one of the strongest early Deadman openings possible.

What Now? Choosing Your Route

From here, your direction depends on your goal.

Money-Making Route

Unlock:

· Sigil of Agile Fortune → spam Agility Pyramid

· Sigil of the Alchemaniac → alch while training

This builds:

· Magic XP

· Passive GP

· Steady point accumulation

Skilling Domination Route

Prioritize:

· Sigil of the Infernal Chef

· Sigil of Efficiency

· Sigil of Nature

· Sigil of Remote Storage

· Sigil of Enhanced Harvest

Stacking these together creates exponential resource generation. You can power-level gathering skills to 99 rapidly while stockpiling tradable materials.

Herb farming with Sigil of Nature + pickpocket relic creates early potion market dominance.

Combat Route: Dragons & High-Tier PvM

Dragons will dominate early profit just like previous seasons. With Sigil of Litheness, you can immediately access:

· Taverley blue dragons

· Tel Teklan dragon cave

Recommended combat sigils:

· Sigil of Onslaught (+30% accuracy)

· Sigil of Resistance (-25% damage taken)

· Sigil of Restoration (10% lifesteal)

Magic-focused alternative:

· Sigil of the Meticulous Mage

· Sigil of Consistency

· Sigil of Eternal Belief (no prayer drain, 2000 points)

· Sigil of Devotion (200% prayer XP)

From here, push into:

· Revenants

· Barrows (air spells are highly effective)

When to Move Up a Bracket

Each bracket upgrade gives 1 hour of immunity.

Bracket Multipliers

Combat Level Combat XP Skilling XP Drop Rate

3–60 10x 10x 3x

61–80 15x 10x 3x

81–95 15x 10x 4x

96–126 20x 10x 5x

Key Strategy Considerations:

· Moving up before dangerous content = free immunity protection

· Farming rare drops? Aim for the 81+ bracket first

· Max points per bracket before leveling

· Prepare gear before leveling up

· Use immunity for high-risk bossing

Bracket timing is strategic—not automatic.

Final Thoughts

This Deadman Mode season rewards intelligent planning more than ever. Permanent sigils shift the game from pure PvP survival to strategic progression. By following this optimized one-hour route, you secure:

· ~3,000 early points

· Multiple powerful sigils

· Strong combat base

· Skilling foundations

· Quest XP spikes

From here, your path diverges: PvM wealth generation, skilling empire, or PvP dominance. Plan your brackets carefully. Exploit immunity windows. Invest points wisely.

Deadman Mode punishes mistakes—but rewards preparation even more. Good luck out there. And always assume someone is watching your minimap.
